Now, More than ever...

Now, more than ever before, BioMeds are looking for practical ways to increase their value to the hospital staff and administration. By providing a more cost-effective alternative to the high priced OEM service contracts, savvy Clinical Engineering Managers can make a substantial contribution to the bottom line by choosing to bring ultrasound service back in-house. There are however, three key elements required to do the job right:

3 Key Elements

• Training
• Tools
• Resources (repair / exchange parts and probe repair)

In addition to probe repair and ultrasound service parts, Sonora is one of the industry’s leading providers of ultrasound service training. Our basic ultrasound service training class includes: clinical utility, ultrasound physics, theory of operation, and a system architecture overview common to all ultrasound systems. Graduates of the basic course can perform: system troubleshooting, technical performance evaluations, routine repairs and periodic system maintenance.

Advanced Courses

Beyond basic training, Sonora also offers advanced, system-specific classes for many of the popular ultrasound systems. These model-focused classes include: advanced ultrasound theory and ultrasound physics review, system theory of operation, system level block diagrams, and common failure modes of each scanner. Hands-on sessions include: routine PM checklist, power supply, keyboard, card cage access, advanced troubleshooting skills, repair / exchange parts identification, and on-board diagnostics.

Latest Technology

Sonora also provides advanced probe testing and maintenance classes using our patented FirstCall 2000 ultrasound probe tester. Learn how to identify issues caused by the true source of clinical quality and cost in ultrasound – the transducer.
All classes are taught by experienced field service professionals and are held at our Service Training Institute in Longmont, CO.
