The TD-100 is the first automated disinfector designed to provide high-level disinfection of transesophogeal (TEE) ultrasound probes. The TD-100 has FDA 510k clearance as a medical device for the disinfection of TEE probes using TD-5 high level disinfectant. The TD-100 and TD-5 is manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 guidelines. The TD-100 disinfects each TEE probe with TD-5 disinfectant and provides a printed validation upon completion of a successful disinfection cycle. Microprocessor-controlled, the TD-100 provides easy interaction by the healthcare professional in charge of reprocessing the used TEE ultrasound probe.

The TD-100 is compact and measures only 8” deep, 24” wide, and 44” high. The TD-100 can easily be installed near the point of use of the TEE probes. This is different to the traditional manual method that required excessive space and did not provide any form of high level disinfectant vapor management. The TD-100 has a built-in vapor management system and performs continuous self-diagnostic tests that confirm the TD-100 is working properly throughout each disinfection cycle. A printed validation ticket is generated at cycle completion either for the records or to travel with each disinfected probe.

TD-5 DISINFECTANT
The TD-5 disinfectant is a single-use high level disinfectant that is used exclusively with the TD-100. The TD-5 has been tested to effectively kill potentially harmful microorganisms without damaging the TEE probe. Since the TD-100 uses a fresh TD-5 bottle for each cycle, the need for continuous MEC testing is eliminated.
